Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Moyer's Heating and Cooling, a leading HVAC company in Prescott Valley, is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be an integral member of our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Service Manager.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical aptitude and a customer-centric focus. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial HVAC systems ensuring customer satisfaction and proper system operation. We strive for excellence, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for quality workmanship and superior customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnoses of HVAC systems to determine repair needs and provide solutions for customers
- Perform preventative maintenance services as required on HVAC equipment
- Repair or replace defective HVAC components as needed
- Advise customers on maintenance plans, upgrades, and equipment replacement options
- Keep service vehicle and equipment clean and in good working order
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and other team members to ensure efficient service execution
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installation, and maintenance activities
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up to date with changing technologies and industry regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of HVAC trade school or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Available to work flexible hours and on-call rotation as needed
- EPA certification preferred
- NATE certification is a plus
