Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Bovard Heating and Cooling is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Altoona, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various HVAC systems. You will be working directly with customers, assessing their needs, and providing solutions to their HVAC problems. You'll also be in charge of commissioning new installations and performing maintenance services to ensure that our customers' systems are running efficiently.
The ideal candidate should have experience in HVAC service and repair, as well as a strong knowledge of HVAC systems. You should also have the ability to communicate effectively with customers in order to provide outstanding service. We are looking for someone who is driven, dedicated, and constantly striving to improve and learn.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems for efficient and proper operation
- Recommend and perform repairs or replacements of faulty parts and components
- Perform routine maintenance services on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance
- Commissioning new installations
- Interact with customers to determine their HVAC needs and provide excellent customer service
- Keep records of all service calls, maintenance visits, and repairs
- Stay up-to-date on the latest HVAC technology and trends
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed technical training program in HVAC service and repair
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service
- Valid HVAC technician license
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
