Job Description: HVAC Installer
Fred F. Collis & Sons, a reputable HVAC company, is seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team in Rome, New York. As a HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various HVAC systems such as central air conditioning, heating systems, and ventilation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installing HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and electrical components
- Inspecting and troubleshooting HVAC systems to identify issues and providing solutions
- Repairing or replacing defective parts or components
- Conducting preventive maintenance service on HVAC systems
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Communicating with customers and providing excellent customer service
- Assisting with training and mentoring apprentices when needed
- Keeping accurate records of service performed and parts used
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation
- Proven knowledge of HVAC systems and their components
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call shifts when necessary
