Nurse Scheduler, CNA/QMA

We are currently seeking a Nurse Scheduler, CNA/QMA to join our team at Majestic Care Of New Haven. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the activities of our nursing staff to ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate schedules for nursing staff, including CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) and QMAs (Qualified Medication Aides).
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times, taking into account the needs of the residents and the availability of the staff.
• Coordinate with the nursing supervisor to fill open shifts and address any staffing shortages.
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff members in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in payroll processing by providing accurate attendance and timekeeping records.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new nursing staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of resident care.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA or QMA certification.
• Prior experience in nursing scheduling or a related role is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer software, including scheduling programs.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well as part of a team.
