Job Description: HVAC Installer
Michiana Heating and Air Conditioning, a leading HVAC service provider in Niles, Michigan, is currently seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. As a member of our installation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation services to our residential and commercial customers.
Responsibilities:
• Install HVAC systems and ductwork in residential and commercial properties according to project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Conduct site inspections to assess installation requirements, evaluate the electrical system, and make recommendations for the appropriate HVAC systems and materials to be used.
• Prepare worksites for installation, including setting up equipment, removing old equipment and preparing surfaces for new installations.
• Measure and cut sheet metal, duct board, and flexible tubing to specified lengths.
• Install refrigeration lines and connect air ducts to heating and cooling equipment.
• Keep accurate records of material and labor expenses and submit project reports to management.
• Test installed systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
• Provide customers with product information, instruction, and training on the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Relevant HVAC installation experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC installation practices and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Physical ability to install HVAC systems, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
