Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is seeking a Full-time Director of Environmental Services at its Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, located on the west side of Cleveland.

• The primary purpose of the job is to plan, organize, develop, contribute, and direct the overall operation of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department.
• Works collaboratively within a residential household model, practicing person-centered care.
• This position also ensures that the department operates in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility.
• Directed by the Executive Director, to ensure our Housekeeping/Laundry department is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner, and an adequate supply of laundry/linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
• Maintains budget & inventory and checks supply rooms and work areas to ensure supplies are used in an efficient manner.
• Maintains staff schedules
• Ensures work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
• Coordinates Housekeeping/Laundry Services and activities with other related departments.
• Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing and staffing in the department.
• Participates in facility surveys and develops a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during inspections. Limits deficiencies by inspecting work areas.
• Attends and participates in scheduled training and educational classes required for the position.
• Reports all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries, and equipment to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse immediately.
• Adheres to high standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and dress code.
• Adheres to all policies of the company, including job description, mission statement, and resident rights.
• Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in carrying out assignments.
• Communicates and interacts professionally and effectively with residents and coworkers throughout the community ensuring a cooperative environment while maintaining self-control.
• Communicates and interacts and professionally and respectfully with family members in attending to and meeting their requests.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, environmental services in a management role.
