Job Description

We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at Rumford Community Home. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean and sanitary environment, promoting the welfare and care of our residents.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Keeping the facility clean and sanitary at all times to maintain a healthful environment for residents
2. Dusting furniture daily and straightening furniture
3. Dusting light fixtures, window sills, and beds
4. Cleaning door vents and window blinds
5. Emptying waste baskets and replacing trash bags
6. Dry mopping and wet mopping floors in residents' rooms
7. Cleaning wash basins, commodes, and polishing chrome fixtures in bathtubs
8. Washing mirrors, spot cleaning walls, and thoroughly cleaning beds and bedside tables in residents' rooms
9. Dusting all shelves and removing articles for thorough cleaning
10. Cleaning and maintaining housekeeping cart and other equipment
11. Assisting with emergency cleaning as required
12. Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Housekeeping Experience in a Healthcare Setting preferred
• Genuine interest in working with geriatrics
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with continuous interruptions
• Ability to perform tasks with consideration for resident safety
• Initiative and judgment in maintaining assigned area
• Ability to work under close supervision and perform routine tasks
