Job Description

Supply Chain Specialist, Shift Varies, Materials Distribution UC Health is hiring a full-time Supply Chain Specialist for the Materials Distribution department at Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care. The Supply Chain Specialist will support Daniel Drake's emergency room (ER) and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

About Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care is the region's premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services and research. Daniel Drake Center helps patients recover from catastrophic injury and illness including multi-system organ failure, complex wound care, traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury. Daniel Drake is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. Patients at Daniel Drake Center have access to many hospital-based services including 24/7 on-site physician coverage, pharmacy, diagnostic imaging, wound care and specialty physician consulting services. The availability of these on-site services allows for quick response to the complex and evolving care needs for our patients.


Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, employee picks hospital related orders for daily delivery to UC Health facilities as well as completes point of use stocking and central service activities at site-based locations.
  • Picks orders for daily delivery to UC Health requesters and performs fundamental inventory management tasks including stock rotation, expired product checks, inventory restocking, and utilizes MMIS for tracking inventory where applicable.
  • Performs Central Service functions (linen distribution, equipment decontamination/distribution, fulfill customer requests) as needed.
  • Labels all orders with the correct "ship to" information. Stages all orders in the correct "ship out" location. Adheres to the standard skid mapping requirements and delivery/stocking schedules established by management.
  • Logs all orders on Master Pick Log and signs off each pick sheet. Makes copies of orders to file on site and sends to requester. Reports any stock outs or mis picks to supervisor/manager for immediate resolution before reaching customer.
  • Completes daily 5S standard work and assists in cleaning the work environment to maintain safe and efficient conditions.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • This position requires standing and walking for lengthy period of times on hard surfaces and may be exposed to inclement weather.
