Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team at Life Care Center Of Wichita. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents in accordance with their dietary and nutritional needs. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that contribute to their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

As a Cook, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing meals that are in compliance with established recipes, menus, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensuring that proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
• Collaborating with the Dietary Manager to create menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
• Monitoring and documenting food temperatures, production records, and inventory levels.
• Assisting in the supervision and training of kitchen staff.
• Participating in meetings and trainings to enhance your culinary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Cook position should have:

• Prior experience working as a Cook in a similar healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing meals.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
