Weekend Receptionist

St John Neuman Center for Rehab and Healthcare in Philadelphia, PA is currently seeking a Weekend Receptionist to join our team. As the Weekend Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, performing general office work, and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in customer service and general office work
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Type more than 45 words per minute

Responsibilities:

  • Document and distribute patient information to various departments and agencies
  • Provide information to visitors and vendors as needed
  • Answer calls and direct them appropriately
  • Communicate messages to department directors and senior leadership
  • Direct first responders when necessary
  • Follow emergency procedures and use the intercom system
  • Monitor sign-in and sign-out protocols
  • Ensure residents do not leave the building
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area
  • Perform light secretarial duties as assigned
  • Provide visitors with visitor badges
  • Monitor and log deliveries to the reception area
  • Assist with mail distribution
  • Follow all safety and security procedures
  • Contact administration for facility problems or emergencies
  • Notify administration of health department visits
  • Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism
  • Work effectively with residents, family members, and support agencies

Requirements:

  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to handle and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Flexible, reliable, and punctual
  • Familiarity with abuse policies and emergency procedures
  • Completion of required in-service training
  • Ability to work with physically and emotionally challenged residents
