Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Long Term Care unit. As an RN, you will play a critical role in delivering personalized care to our residents and ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned residents, including administering medications, managing IV therapy, and performing wound care.
- Assess residents' health conditions and develop appropriate care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Monitor and document residents' progress, including changes in vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to medications or treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Educate residents and their families on wellness, preventive care, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic documentation.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional knowledge and skills through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [state].
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum [X] years of experience in long-term care or a similar setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
