We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Quincy, Illinois. As an HVAC Service Technician at Peters Heating & Air Conditioning, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. Your role will be critical to ensuring that our customers are comfortable and their HVAC systems are running efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
- Install thermostats and other HVAC controls
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues to identify the root cause of problems
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of HVAC systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive customer experience
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively with customers
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
