Job Summary

We are in search of an occupational therapist assistant who can assist with planning and implementing prescribed occupational therapy activities based on diagnosis and objective assessment given by the physician or supervising occupational therapist. Will assist with creating an occupational therapy program designed to aid patients in reaching their maximum functional ability, highest level of independence, and/or a reduced level of pain, injury, or disability.

Requirements

• Have an active and cleared license as an occupational therapist assistant issued in the State of Florida
• At least one year in a rehabilitation center experience with little to no supervision
• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of occupational therapy
• Have experience in long-term care; knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations; and knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement requirements
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and stabilize patients during exercise sessions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner
• Able to function independently with personal integrity with tact and flexibility
• Ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and visitors with excellent
