Position: PCA - Personal Care Assistant


We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team at Aicota Health Care Center. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and overall well-being. You will work closely with our residents, their families, and our healthcare team to ensure the highest level of care and satisfaction.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Escort residents to appointments and social activities.
  • Observe and document changes in residents' behavior and health status.
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration, as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a PCA or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient nature.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and assisting residents with mobility.
