CNA/MHT Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our team at Aperion Care Peoria Heights.

As a CNA/MHT, you will play a key role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
Providing emotional support to patients and their families
Assisting with medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the wellbeing of patients
Participating in the development and implementation of patient care plans

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Mental Health Technician (MHT) certification
Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
