Position: Resident Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Assistant to join our team at The Village at Sprenkle Drive. The Resident Assistant will play a vital role in providing personalized care and assistance to our residents to enhance their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and promptly report any concerns to the nursing staff.
• Assist with medication management and ensure residents receive their medications as prescribed.
• Escort residents to meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Engage residents in meaningful social activities and programs to promote their social and cognitive well-being.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks in resident rooms and common areas as needed.
• Document residents' care and activities accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience working with older adults preferred.
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
