Job Summary


Phoebe Wyncote is currently seeking a Chaplain to join our dedicated team. As a Chaplain, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual and emotional support to our residents and their families. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others by offering comfort, guidance, and counseling during challenging times.


Responsibilities


As a Chaplain at Phoebe Wyncote, your responsibilities will include:


  • Providing spiritual support and pastoral care to residents, their families, and staff members
  • Conducting religious services and leading prayer groups
  • Offering counseling and emotional support to individuals in times of need
  • Assisting with end-of-life planning and providing grief support
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address the holistic needs of residents
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and contributing to care planning
  • Maintaining accurate records of spiritual care services provided

Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:


  • A degree in theology, divinity, or a related field
  • Ordination or endorsement from an appropriate religious organization
  • Pastoral experience in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals of diverse backgrounds and beliefs
  • Empathy and sensitivity when dealing with emotional and spiritual needs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
