Recreation Coordinator - NHC Place Cool Springs Assisted Living

NHC Place Cool Springs is looking for a Recreation Coordinator to join our team! Applicant must have a desire to work with seniors with dementia, be compassionate and caring. The ideal candidate will have a certification in dementia care or comprehensive experience working with residents with dementia. This person must be creative, energetic, and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as it relates to programming in assisted living.

Position Highlights:

Developing and implementing a well-rounded wellness program for Assisted Living Memory Care residents as assigned (This will include some weekend and/or holiday hours)
Timely completion of assessments and associated paperwork
Ensuring that all local, State and Federal guidelines regarding programming are met
Developing fun and therapeutic activities and events that encourage resident participation
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be self-motivated, creative with positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm
Must be able to work with family members, partners, and the community
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must have a dementia certification or enhance training in dementia programming
