Job Summary/Basic Function
To monitor the university's art gallery, assist when needed in other areas of the art department and answer any related questions that visitors may have regarding the gallery. To represent the university in a professional and knowledgeable manner regarding the art gallery, the exhibitions, and artists. Assistants will be expected to help with exhibit installations, the deinstalling of exhibitions, maintain the cleanliness of the gallery space and lobby area, as well participating in the preparation of opening nights. You will work closely with the gallery directors and artists for hands on experience.

Art Major
Federal Work Study Eligible
Academic Good Standing
Preferred Qualifications
Gallery Assistants should have general knowledge about art and are expected to familiarize themselves with the information provided by the Director of the current exhibition. If an inquiry is made it's important to be able to discuss the art exhibition.
