Job Description:

Position: Housekeeping Aide Part Time

Hours: 21 hours per week, 7 days a week, 4pm-7pm

The Housekeeping Aide will provide quality housekeeping services, ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all facility residents and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning assigned areas of the facility, including resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety, and hazardous communication program. You will plan efficient use of time, cooperate with all other staff, and perform responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff. Additionally, you will maintain a clean, orderly work area and department, as well as assist in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
• Ability to visually assess all aspects of the facility.
• Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
• Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop, and have fine hand coordination.
• Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
