MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS As an IT Cybersecurity Architect focused on cybersecurity, you will be responsible for establishing and managing security protocols to protect the agency’s IT infrastructure. Your key tasks include assessing risks and collaborating with management to verify security measures are integrated into all IT initiatives/infrastructure to including security policies. An IT Cybersecurity Architect will also monitor compliance through audits, deliver training on cybersecurity best practices, and lead incident response efforts while documenting insights for future improvement. #oj Minimum Requirements At least 18 years of age. Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English. U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card. Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated. No illegal drug usage within the past year. Other drug usage will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field AND four (4) years related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience to include the following: Cybersecurity, Governance, IT Risk Management, Compliance, IT Security, and Policy Development. If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows: Two (2) years of direct experience for an Associate Degree Four (4) years of direct experience for a Bachelor's Degree Six (6) years of direct experience for a Master's Degree Must have a valid Florida driver’s license. Must attend and successfully complete the agency sponsored Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations (LEVO) Training if assignment includes driving an agency vehicle. Use of agency vehicle would require appropriate driving history and passing agency biennial driver’s physical exam. Depending on assignment, may be required to be FCIC/NCIC certified within one (1) year of accepting position. CISM, CISA, CySA+ or other cybersecurity certification preferred. Ability to develop and implement cybersecurity governance frameworks to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, CJISSECPOL). Ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks across IT systems and networks. Ability to collaborate with management to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines that protect sensitive data and technology assets. Ability to prepare detailed reports with recommendations to improve cybersecurity compliance. Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to verify security measures are integrated into all IT projects and initiatives. Ability to monitor compliance with security policies and regulations, conducting audits and assessments as necessary. Ability to provide guidance on security best practices and frameworks and facilitate training for staff on cybersecurity awareness. Ability to respond to security incidents and breaches, leading efforts for investigation and remediation while documenting lessons learned. Ability to stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends to proactively adjust governance and IT risk management strategies. Ability to prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, summarizing risks, compliance status, and recommendations. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees on technical and non-technical matters. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents (scientific and technical journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations). Must have the ability to respond effectively to the sensitive inquiries or complaints. Must have the ability to write reports, procedures, speeches, and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Must have the ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or government agencies. Must have proficient skills in business and systems analysis. Must possess interpersonal, administrative, organizational, and time management skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee must be able to work in remote locations within Orange County and possibly outside of Orange County. The employee will be working with computer related equipment and may occasionally be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Depending on assignment, may be required to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends. The employee is required to support the agency’s emergency operations during a critical incident and may be recalled. The employee may also be assigned to a technical team in order to support the agency during a critical incident.
