Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist - Gino J. Merli Veterans Center
The Gino J. Merli Veterans Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a leading provider of care and services for veterans, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety at our facility.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and programs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop risk management plans.
• Collaborate with internal departments to implement quality improvement initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze data and generate reports on quality assurance and risk management activities, including trends and areas of concern.
• Coordinate and participate in external quality audits and inspections.
• Train staff on quality assurance and risk management processes and procedures.
• Investigate and respond to incidents or complaints related to quality or safety issues.
• Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to share best practices and ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration or quality management.
• Proven experience in quality assurance and risk management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• In-depth knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Certification in quality management or risk management is a plus.
