The Health Plan Quality Improvement Solutions team is looking for a talented
Healthcare Data Specialist
who understands how to use data to tell a story to non-technical audiences using business intelligence tools and presentations. In this fully remote role, you’ll participate in quality improvement conversations with business partners across the company and provide data-driven insights that improve the health outcomes and satisfaction of our Medicaid members in Tennessee.
Experience with SQL
(ex: SAS programming, SSRS, other SQL tools) and
dashboard development
(ex: Tableau, Microsoft Power Bi) is required.
Job Responsibilities
Establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the corporation to support department, division and BCBST corporate goals and objectives
Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines among multiple concurrent projects, project teams, and or management staff
Partner with internal customers to define business needs, issues, and translate ideas into effective strategies and action plans for various types of business owners across the company
Develop metrics, execute research designs and reports using business rules and requirements provided by business owners
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree OR Master's Degree with 2+ years of work experience
Experience
4 years - Experience in analytics, reporting and data utilizing industry-standard tools
Skills\Certifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong analytical skills with understanding of basic statistics and algebra required
