Grey Stone Health & Rehabilitation Center, a leading healthcare facility specializing in post-acute and long-term care, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by coordinating and facilitating a variety of engaging and therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and execute a monthly activities calendar, ensuring a wide range of individual and group activities are offered.
• Engage residents in meaningful social and recreational activities, such as crafts, games, music, outings, and special events.
• Facilitate exercises and activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
• Provide individualized attention and support to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress, documenting observations and any changes in behavior or condition.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working with geriatric or rehabilitative populations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passionate about enriching the lives of others and promoting a positive atmosphere.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
