JOB DESCRIPTION

The Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aides to join our team. As a Nurse Aide at our facility, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our honored veterans.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Assist with transferring and positioning residents
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Assist in the delivery of meals and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Follow all care plans and instructions provided by the nursing staff
• Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Nurse Aide
• Prior experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Compassionate and caring nature
• Physical stamina to meet the demands of the job
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
