As an HVAC Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers by performing skilled installation, maintenance, and repair work on various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will have the opportunity to utilize your technical expertise to diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of HVAC systems to identify and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components to optimize system performance.
- Install, repair, or replace components, such as belts, motors, compressors, thermostats, and filters, to restore or enhance system functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritize service calls, ensuring timely and effective completion of work orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening, addressing concerns, and offering solutions to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
- Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance of HVAC systems to promote energy efficiency and prolong system lifespan.
- Accurately document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and services provided, to facilitate proper invoicing and record-keeping.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in HVAC systems, participating in relevant training to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical school program in HVAC preferred.
- Valid HVAC technician license or certification.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician, demonstrating competence in installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately analyze and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a systematic approach to identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical individuals.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
